The Institute of Reading Development is now looking for summer tutors for their live online reading skills program for students of all ages. You will work with a variety of age groups from 4 years of age to high school students. Your job is to help them become successful readers so they can achieve greater success at school and beyond.
The company provides tutors with ongoing training and support. You must be a good reader, hard-working, comfortable with technology, and patient with students and parents. You will need a Bachelor’s degree to teach online classes five days a week including weekends. This is a full-time job working 37 to 40 hours a week during the summer. Tutors take home $600 to $700 a week. If you are hired to work from home as a Summer Reading Tutor, you will be offered other opportunities for continued employment at the company.
Reading Corps is another company that is seeking Summer Reading Tutors to help students in kindergarten to third grade become better readers. This job officially starts on May 23rd of this year. They employ over 2,000 tutors nationwide.

You will need 1 year experience working with students in some capacity, strong communication skills, a computer with Chrome or Safari, and reside in the US, Alaska, or Hawaii. You must be available to work Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 4 to 7 EST.
Tutors will get paid $17 per hour. After you complete 12 hours of work, your pay will increase to $18 per hour.

You can earn additional earnings for teacher referrals and working on special projects. The only equipment you need is an Apple iPad 2 or higher with reliable internet service.
Literably is a company that has work from home jobs for people to listen to the audio recordings of students reading to transcribe their errors. These audio recordings are oral reading assessments for elementary schools. This job requires no experience and allows you to set and work your own schedule.
