What are TikTok stories?
TikTok Stories provides a better way to interact with your followers. Stories can be created using the new camera feature.
TikTok Stories are shown daily and have just 24 hours before it disappears, just like on Snapchat and Instagram. Most of these apps are only finding new and better ways to make users stay glued to their platform, and Stories will do just that.
Stories help to increase engagement on social media apps. However, it is in the beta-testing phase on TikTok stories.

TikTok’s story is still in beta-testing and has not been made public yet. This is saying that it has not yet been released to the public.
Only a few users enrolled as beta testers have the stories feature. However, you can be a beta tester and still not have the feature. Only a few have been selected to use the feature.
Unfortunately, TikTok has yet to release an official date for the feature to roll out to everyone. The feature may not be launched eventually and be discarded in the long run. The decision strongly depends on the result of the beta-testing.

How to fix story feature not showing on TikTok
Well, you are not the only one without the TikTok story feature yet, so the best thing to do in this case is to wait till it is officially rolled out for everyone.
Currently, the feature is in beta-testing, and nothing has been said about when TikTok will roll it out.
The story feature was first noticed by @MattNavarra on Twitter, who tweeted and attached some screenshots about the feature, including the way the feature worked and a sidebar with user-created stories.
In addition, he tagged @TikTokComms in his reply, asking to confirm the feature. However, he got no response on the thread.
Responses from users such as @GarettSloane, @MosheIsaacian, @alex193a, and @aidanmilb12 confirmed the stories feature.
TikTok communications also quoted a message which reads:
“We’re always thinking about new ways to bring value to our community and enrich the TikTok experience. Currently, we’re experimenting with ways to give creators additional formats to bring their creative ideas to life for the TikTok community”.
The head of Instagram, Adam Mosseri, later got involved in the conversation with the response below:
“This was inevitable. ByteDance has been looking for ways to get into connecting friends for years. They’re talented, they move fast, and they are nothing but determined”.
Afterwards, a video on the TikTok Stories was leaked on Twitter.

The stories feature was first noticed on Snapchat until every other popular social media app jumped on the trend. While Twitter introduced its “Fleets”, WhatsApp called its Status.
However, Twitter later discarded the feature because of low engagement. It turns out that not much of Twitter users want it.
