How to find the “Access data” feature on Instagram
To begin with, you must know that the “Access data” feature has been replaced with Download your information. To locate it, follow the steps below.
Go to “Your activity”
You need to locate and tap “Your activity”. Open the Instagram app and go to your profile. Next, tap the menu icon from the top right to see the menu options.
The options available under the menu include Settings, Archive, Your activity, QR code and more. Tap “Your activity” to go to the next page.
Download your information
The “Your activity” page lets you manage all activities on Instagram. Here, you find options like Time spent, Photos and videos, Interactions, Account history, Recent searches and more.
Scroll to the bottom of the screen to find the “Download your information” option. When you tap on it, you can download your Instagram data.
The “Download your information” option used to be found under security settings. Tap on the option, and it will take you to the “Download your data” page.
Request download
Now, you are on the “Download your information” page. On this page, you can request a copy of your Instagram data.
Enter your email address in the email field. In some cases, the email address is automatically filled in. Else, you can manually fill it inside. However, remember to check if the email address is correct.
Now, tap “Request Download” to request a copy of your Instagram data. On the next page, you will be required to enter your password for your Instagram account.
If the password is correct, an email will be sent to your email containing a link that gives you access to a file with your Instagram photos, comments, profile information, and other information.
Note that the Instagram data will be collected and sent to your email address within a timeframe of 48 hours. Once the collection process is complete, a link is sent to your mail to access the file. Afterwards, you can view and download your data.
