Non-bank lender Firstmac has signed a new sponsorship agreement with NRL club the Brisbane Broncos until 2027.
The renewed deal will extend Brisbane-based Firstmac’s position as the Broncos’ premier sponsor to 15 years, making it one of the longest sponsorships in the NRL.
Under the terms of the latest agreement, Firstmac will also sponsor the Broncos women’s team in the NRLW and become the Broncos’ inaugural charity partner.
Firstmac managing director Kim Cannon (pictured above with Broncos captain Adam Reynolds) said the company was pleased to extend and expand its partnership with the Brisbane Broncos, including offering new support for the Broncos’ activities in the community.
“The past decade has been a tumultuous one with COVID-19 and numerous other challenges, but one thing that has never wavered is our support for the Brisbane Broncos,” Cannon said.
“We are proud to now take that partnership to the next level by adding charity partner and Broncos NRLW sponsor to our established position as a premier sponsor.”

Under the new agreement, the Broncos will continue to wear the Firstmac brand on their jersey sleeve.
As part of Firstmac’s new role as Bronco’s charity partner, Firstmac staff will have the option of supporting Broncos community events through the company’s paid volunteering program.
Each year, Firstmac Group’s Brisbane staff can opt to take one paid volunteer day per year to support a range of local charities.
The range of activities could now include helping the Broncos to sell tickets for their 50/50 charity raffle which supports selected community groups at Broncos home games.
Broncos CEO Dave Donaghy said the Broncos were thrilled to continue a strong partnership with a great Queensland brand.

“As a Brisbane-based brand, Firstmac is a fantastic Queensland success story and has been a highly-valued member of the Broncos family for more than a decade,” Donaghy said.
“We are proud to be able to continue our partnership with a local business that has such a great connection with its customers and community – something we also aspire to every day at the Broncos.”
