Chime is thrilled to announce that fintech and payments compliance veteran, Victoria Edison, has joined our team as VP, Chief Compliance Officer. Victoria brings over twenty years of expertise to our team and will help guide the next chapter of Chime’s compliance and risk strategy and operations.
At Visa, Victoria ran global compliance leading up to its IPO, establishing its business conduct office, whistleblower program, and other compliance foundational programs to support its payments system and networks. She later managed regulatory compliance at finance giant BlackRock and most recently served as Chief Compliance Officer for the Americas and Co-Head of International Compliance at Ant Group. Victoria’s experience spans traditional payments, mobile payments, and organizations focused on underserved populations.
“My first instinct in my career has always been to support mission-driven companies that are solving core user needs.”
– Victoria Edison
As Chime’s VP and Chief Compliance Officer, Victoria will guide the company in striking the ideal balance between innovation and protection for our members and the financial ecosystem we inhabit.
“I believe that our compliance obligations to members, when executed well, can give Chime a competitive advantage. By focusing compliance on the right areas of our business, we will build trust and help members do more with our services.”
– Victoria Edison
Victoria’s first priorities include creating a governance rhythm, empowering leaders across Chime to make sound compliance decisions, and engaging external stakeholders such as regulatory advocates.
“We’re here to serve our members in a safe, resilient, and sustainable way. In order to do that, compliance must be a strength, not a roadblock. I look forward to building enhanced guardrails that will enable Chime to grow even faster.”
– Victoria Edison
