AFG appoints three new managers

Aggregator AFG has expanded its broker recruitment and partnership team, appointing two new staff in NSW and promoting an employee to a key role in Queensland.

George Haddad (pictured above left) and Krishneil Prasad (pictured above centre) have both joined AFG as partnership managers, and the aggregator says this is to strengthen the support offered to its members. AFG has also appointed Danni Porter (pictured above right) as sales manager in Queensland.

Haddad joins AFG from Loan Market where he worked as a partnership manager, managing a portfolio of brokers including some of the network’s largest  accounts. Prior to this, he was with superannuation firm MLC, where he worked on strategic initiatives to drive operational performance.

“With a background in aggregation, I am well-positioned to support our members across all facets of their business,” Haddad said. “I look forward to leveraging my experience to assist our members in achieving their goals in areas such as growth, strategy, recruitment and more.”

Prasad also hails from the third-party channel, where he worked closely with brokers during his 14-year career at both major and non-major lenders. He worked for many years at Pepper Money and more recently as a BDM at NAB.

Prasad said the role mortgage brokers played today was diverse, complex and exciting.

“Clearly, they are the choice of customers, so by understanding our brokers’ objectives and helping them achieve and grow their business will be my key focus,” Prasad said.  “After almost 14 years in banking and working in third-party for the majority of it, my experience will be central to how I help them drive their success.”

Porter received a promotion to the role of sales manager, Queensland as part of a wider expansion and strengthening of the recruitment model for AFG. Porter joined the aggregator in February 2017 with eight years of banking experience.

After working in the AFG Home Loans team providing support and lending solutions to AFG brokers, Porter has joined the recruitment team reporting to Them Lam, AFG head of strategic partners and recruitment.

AFG head of broker partnerships NSW, ACT, Victoria and Tasmania Joseph Khal said the expansion of the team solidified AFG’s commitment to its members.

“As we continue our rapid growth and recruitment of members, it is vital we build out the team with great individuals who are both experienced and passionate about helping our members,” Khal said.

“AFG’s PM team deliver key support to our brokers in all aspects of their business. Our members have grown their businesses and teams at rapid rates and the nurture, support and development of our members is what our team are so passionate about. I look forward to seeing the impact our new hires will have with their members.”
