In recent months, ChatGPT, the popular AI language model, has taken the internet by storm. Most people seem to either love it or hate it.
Those of us who love it are in awe of it’s ability to answer questions (any question) intelligently, spit out whatever text we ask it to, or even translate languages for us.
Those of us who hate it mainly fear it. Is it going to replace our day jobs? Are the things we get paid to do going to be done by machines in the future, rendering us useless?
ChatGPT does cause anxiety for many people who fear it (and other) AI being able to do things we get paid to do, almost as well as we can.
All that aside, AI is here to stay whether we like it or not. And I am of the opinion that in the meantime, the smart thing is to embrace it and, rather than worry about how it could eventually take money away from us, focus on the ways it can help us earn money now! And it can.
Below I’ve listed out five little ways you can use ChatGPT to help you make money. I hope it gets your wheels turning and, if you’re someone who feels anxious about it, calms your nerves and helps you see how you could use it to your advantage for the time being.
5 Ways ChatGPT Can Help You Make Money
1 – Speed Up Your Writing Process
If you make your money with blogging or freelance writing, you can use ChatGPT to speed up your process.
I would not recommend letting ChatGPT generate your content for you (although it is certainly capable of doing that), but I do think it can be helpful in terms of creating content outlines, generating ideas when you have writer’s block, and helping you structure an article that you aren’t sure how to put together.
The things I’ve listed above can suck valuable time away from you when you’re writing.
ChatGPT can cut that time in half, which will lead to getting your work done faster, which leads to more money in most cases.
2 – Writing Sales Copy
If your job involves any type of sales and you struggle to come up with compelling, salesy copy — either for written or verbal pitches — you can ask ChatGPT for help.
Simply tell it to write you a sales pitch for whatever it is you are pushing, and it will come up with something quite good that you can either use or work with.
Again, I don’t really recommend taking any content it generates for you and using it word for word. It’s always better to use your own voice because people can usually tell if it’s not you and they already know your tone.
But, the copy it generates may help you see some selling points for the product/service you’re pushing that maybe you were missing before.
This can definitely make it very simple for you to come up with something salesy that will work, when maybe you were struggling before.
3 – Use it For Making Money On Fiverr
There are a ton of services you can post on Fiverr to make money. And ChatGPT can help you complete them.
People pay other people on Fiverr for creating content, proofreading, creating resumes, translating, you name it.
These are all things ChatGPT can help you do if you list your services on Fiverr for those things.
Again, put your own human spin on anything you do for anyone else, but don’t feel bad for letting ChatGPT help you along and get the jobs done faster!
4 – Use ChatGPT to Generate Ideas for Business & Domain Names
There are a handful of websites that people use to get name ideas. Some I’m aware of are Picky Domains, Squad Help, and Naming Force.
These aren’t guaranteed money because the names you provide may or may not get picked by the company searching for a name, but it can be fun to play around with in the chance your idea does get chosen.
And yes — ChatGPT can help you generate name ideas! Just ask it. It will spit out a list. You can use the list for your submissions, or you can let it’s ideas help you come up with more of your own if you feel stuck.
5 – Helping Programmers Write Better Code
If you’re a programmer, you can use ChatGPT to help you do your job faster and more efficiently.
ChatGPT is capable of generating code snippets, providing code suggestions, and even helping with code debugging.
These things can help programmers improve their coding skills and productivity, which can lead to more money.
Using ChatGPT, programmers can complete projects faster and take on more clients, ultimately increasing their earning potential!
I hope this post has got your wheels turning on how to earn money with ChatGPT. And I’m sure there are a ton of other methods. I would love it if you would comment below and let me know how you’ve used it to help you earn an income, if you have!
Good luck!
