Finsure announces key hires

Finsure Group has announced key appointments to its sales and Broker Academy teams.

Sonia Tamarua (pictured above left) and Aaron Barry-Davies were appointed NSW business development managers, Sev Isikli (pictured above right) was named West Australian business development manager, while Chris Patsouras, who was currently Victorian state manager, was also appointed WA state manager in an expanded role.

Vince Sercia, meanwhile, will join Finsure’s award-winning Broker Academy as learning and development consultant.

“We welcome all of our new appointees to the Finsure family, which continues to expand across the country,” Finsure CEO Simon Bednar said. “Our Victorian team will also be welcoming a new business development manager in the coming weeks to offer greater support to their network.”

Tamarua, who joins Finsure from Advantedge Financial Services, and former Brighten BDM Barry-Davies will report to Noushig Megerditchian, NSW state manager. The two will fill the gap left by previous NSW State Co-Manager Phil Donaldson, who is now tasked with overseeing Finsure’s rapidly expanding white label program.

Isikli most recently worked at AFG, where she managed their WA broker network. She took on the role left by Damien Thompson, who took on a new challenge as head of diversified and asset finance.

“Sev Isikli brings a wealth of knowledge and insights to help support WA brokers’ businesses and she has a strong background in lending,” Bednar said.

Sercia brings to his new role four decades of experience in the banking and finance sector. The Melbourne-based industry professional was also a former senior AFL field umpire for five seasons and remains active in the game as an interchange official.

Sercia “has dedicated himself to coaching and developing mortgage brokers new to the industry and we look forward to his contribution to the Broker Academy,” Bednar said.
