The Mortgage & Finance Association has launched a consumer advertising campaign that showcases the benefits and importance of using an MFAA accredited mortgage broker to home buyers.
The national campaign will run across key digital platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and key news outlets.
“Mortgage brokers should always be the first port of call for home buyers when it comes to understanding their options for a home loan,” said MFAA CEO Anja Pannek (pictured above). “This campaign is about showing how mortgage brokers support their clients every step of the way and keeping them front of mind for people looking for credit advice.”
MFAA data showed that mortgage brokers wrote 69.3% of all mortgages in the three months to December. The campaign leverages this solid market share and the confidence the best interests duty gives home buyers when engaging with a mortgage broker.
“Mortgage brokers play a crucial role in helping Australians navigate the ever-changing and highly competitive mortgage market and this campaign is about continuing to promote mortgage brokers, so Australians know what you do and the value you provide,” Pannek said. “And with owner-occupied homes with a mortgage being one third of all homes across the country, mortgage brokers can positively impact the lives of a huge number of Australians.
“This is always true but especially now. In the current environment with 11 interest rates increases in as many months, the rising cost of living and many customers continuing to roll off fixed rates onto much higher variable rates, many borrowers will be looking for help and assistance to help them navigate the options out there.”
Clicking on the campaign will direct consumers to the “Find a broker” tool on the MFAA’s consumer website, Mortgage and Finance Help, where they can search for an MFAA-accredited mortgage broker in their area.
MFAA members can also participate in the campaign by posting on their own professional social media pages.
“We’ve produced a toolkit for our members, with images and wording they can use to help promote the services they offer, show clients they belong to the industry’s leading association and help the campaign reach even more Australian home buyers,” Pannek said.
MFAA Members can download the toolkit from the MFAA member portal.
