La Trobe Financial signs Allianz Stadium, SCG deal

Venues NSW and La Trobe Financial have joined forces in a new commercial partnership, meaning the non-bank lender is now the official asset management partner of Allianz Stadium and the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).

La Trobe Financial’s three-year partnership, which starts immediately, will allow the company to “work closely” with Venues NSW, which manages NSW’s sporting and entertainment venues including Allianz Stadium and the SCG.

La Trobe Financial CEO Chris Andrews (pictured above left at Allianz Stadium) said the firm was excited to be partnering with an organisation with such a strong connection to Sydney locals as well as visitors.

“We’re committed to being part of the Sydney community and making a positive impact,” Andrews said. “We’ve seen some memorable matches and events held at the stadium over the years, and we’re thrilled to be involved and bring that excitement to the people of Sydney and our clients.”

Delivering specialist financing and investment solutions since 1952, La Trobe Financial has more than $17 billion in assets under management. The non-bank lender said its award-winning credit fund remained one of the most competitive in the market, trusted by more than 93,000 investors.

Allianz Stadium and the SCG is one of Australia’s premier sports and entertainment precincts – hosting more than 90 events a year.

The La Trobe Financial partnership will be featured across a range of sporting codes, as well as concerts and other live entertainment.

Venues NSW CEO Kerrie Mather (pictured above right) said the organisation was excited to welcome the deal with La Trobe Financial.

“We look forward to working with the La Trobe Financial team to deliver future benefits for our partners, members and the many people who attend events at our venues,” Mather said.

La Trobe Financial’s partnership with Venues NSW is the latest facet of its partnership commitments.

Last year, the non-bank lender signed a two-year partnership with Taronga Conservation Society Australia, which operates Taronga Zoo and Taronga Western Plains Zoo Dubbo.

2022 was a big year for La Trobe Financial – in July it joined the lending panel of Lendi, one of Australia’s largest broker networks.

The firm, which offers one of the broadest product ranges of any non-bank in the market, has also been looking to serve underserved borrowers presenting plenty of opportunities for brokers.
