The Australian Mortgage Awards are back, and this year’s black-tie gala will offer the mortgage industry’s best the chance to be showcased on a national stage, while celebrating with all the glitz and glamour that participants deserve.
In anticipation of the event, scheduled for The Star Sydney on 13 October, Australian Broker and Mortgage Professional Australia are proud to present the excellence awardees (finalists) in the lead up to the 2023 AMAs.
This year’s awards will honour brokers, aggregators, business development managers and lenders across 25 categories, plus two national awards – Westpac Australian Broker of the Year and Liberty Australian Brokerage of the Year.
The broker of the year awards will be spread out across five categories, including commercial, residential, regional and specialist lending, as well as a young gun of the year award while the lender awards include the fintech lender of the year, as well as bank and non-bank of the year.
Son Pham (pictured above centre), managing director of Rethink Financing, an excellence awardee for the La Trobe Financial Broker of the Year – Commercial, said he was excited to attend his first AMAs.
“What this award means to me that is that what we are doing is making an impact on our clients’ futures,” Pham said. “I think the fact we were nominated shows that our clients trust us to be their partner in choice in helping them achieve their goals and dreams.”
“It’s important to be recognised. It shows that hard work, determination, and perseverance will pay dividends. It also boosts morale and motivation for the entire team as well.”
Among the other broker excellence awardees are Helen Avis (pictured above left), of Specialist Finance, who is a finalist in the Pepper Money Broker of the Year – Specialist Lending, and Leah Busby (pictured above right), who has been named in the Equity-One Broker of the Year – Productivity category.
Westpac is proudly lending its support as event partner – the major bank’s 14th year of backing the awards – while NAB and PRPTY360 are premium partners.
Westpac Group head of mortgage broker distribution Warren Shaw said Australians support and value the independent service mortgage brokers provide. “We support and celebrate this as we come together to recognise an industry of hard-working and high-achieving professionals at this year’s AMAs.”
In addition, 20 other organisations have shown their support for the 2023 AMAs as award sponsors, including Adelaide Bank, ANZ, Bankwest, Commonwealth Bank (CBA), Equity-One, FBAA, Firstmac, Gateway Bank, Hays, La Trobe Financial, Liberty, MFAA, Mortgage Choice, OnDeck, Pepper Money, PropTrack, Q2, Rate Money, Resimac and ubank.
The social media sponsor is Maxiron Capital and FINSTREET is the VIP post awards event sponsor while Fifo Capital is sponsoring the photo booth. PRPTY360 is also the champagne sponsor. The entertainment partner is SongDivision.
