As a young child or tween, nothing was more satisfying than binge-reading books from the famous Goosebumps series by R. L. Stine. For many of us, it was the introduction to our supernatural obsession or love for horror and things that go bump in the night.

2. Blockbuster

So many of us couldn’t wait for Friday night to roll around so we could spend 3o minutes roaming the isles of Blockbuster to pick out random movies with the best covers. Many great movie gems were discovered this way.

Remember the warm, fuzzy static left on your TV screen after it was on for a while? One person shares a memory of their mom coming home after work to touch the TV. They were in some deep trouble if it was warm and they didn’t have their homework done.

11. Don Lafontaine’s Narration

Don LaFontaine was a voice actor who recorded over 5,000 film trailers. In addition, he recorded hundreds of thousands of video game trailers, television advertisements, and network promotions. In the 90s, you could hear him narrate toy commercials by saying the infamous line, “Each sold separately, batteries not included.” 

12. Summer Vacation
