The property market is in a state of flux and brokers need all the help they can get to deal with a complex and ever-changing lending landscape.
Non-bank Pepper Money wants to provide brokers the tools and tips they need for success through its annual Insights Live event, which will bring together brokers and introducers on Wednesday, July 27.
The in-person and streamed event will be held at the Waterview in Sydney Olympic Park and will provide brokers and introducers with practical tips and industry expert viewpoints to navigate “the new normal”.
Pepper Money says Insights Live 2022, now in its sixth year, will be the biggest event yet with 13 speakers, two stages and five sessions.
For both residential and commercial property brokers, Pepper Money is bringing together industry heavyweights including Tim Lawless from CoreLogic, Ruan Burger from Time Home Loans, Stuart Donaldson from Banyan Co and Katrina Rowlands from Mortgage Success (pictured above right).
The participants will take part in a panel discussion, titled “The power of genuine customer focus”. It will be hosted by Pepper Money general manager, mortgages and commercial lending Barry Saoud (pictured above left).
“We will share what brokers can do to navigate the new normal and thrive,” Saoud said. “This is a must-attend event – whether you’re new to the industry or a well-seasoned broker. Our aim is to provide valuable tips, tools and insights to help brokers succeed.”

Saoud said there had never been a moment in our lifetime that presented such challenges and opportunities for the industry.
“Our Insights event is about bringing the power of our industry together to share and prepare for the path forward,” he said. “I strongly encourage anyone who is in or thinking about joining our industry to come along to the in-person event or tune in live to find out what market changes in rates and funding will mean for your business.”
Saoud said the event would also help brokers identify solid strategies to build customer relationships when retention and referral will be the key business drivers, and provide practical tools to help brokers succeed in changing conditions
Insights Live will also feature a panel called “The future of Asset Finance”, to be hosted by Pepper Money head of sales asset finance Michael McEvoy.
The asset finance panel will include industry experts Laurissa Mirabelli from Polestar Australia, Peter Drennan from Qi Insights and Pepper Money general manager of asset finance Ken Spellacy.

The discussion will cover issues ranging from sustainability and electric vehicles to customer behaviour shifts and their preferred interactions with dealers and brokers.
“We’re bringing together experts at the forefront of asset finance to explore what key opportunities are on the horizon for the industry today and how these opportunities will shape the industry of tomorrow,” said Spellacy.
Pepper Money will also be sharing some of the stories from its Broker Shout Out initiative and giving a special award to some of the nominees for making the sort of difference that really matters.
“Thank you to all those who nominated someone to receive a shout out,” Saoud said.
“Stay tuned as we announce the lucky winners at Insights Live.”
