Coutts creates head of Financial Planning role

Wealth manager and private bank Coutts – part of the NatWest group – has turned to Nutmeg’s Laura Kingman to take on its newly created role of head of Financial Planning.

At Nutmeg she was executive director of wealth services and she has previously had extensive experience of working in a range of transformational and leadership roles across the financial services industry.

In her new role Ms Kingman will head up a business of 40 Financial Planners and team leaders, who will report directly to her, the bank said.

Coutts said the new role will enable it to deepen its relationships with clients and provide access to Financial Planning experts with specialist knowledge of their wealth management needs.

Ms Kingman has previously held senior roles with Fidelity, Nutmeg and JP Morgan Chase and has extensive experience in building a seamless client experience while developing and aligning technology and digital capability.

She said: “It’s always been a childhood dream of mine to work for Coutts, with the prestige and history associated with the brand.

“I am looking forward to integrating myself within the business and working closely with clients and colleagues to better understand their priorities and help us build and develop our market-leading brand together.”

Greg Kyle-Langley, managing director, head of specialists at Coutts, said: “The creation of this role shows Coutts’ continued commitment to the market. Our priority is to work closely with clients to provide a personalised service, understanding their needs and helping them reach their financial goals.”

Coutts is a wealth manager and private bank with three centuries of experience, providing customised solutions for its clients. They include discretionary and advisory investment management services as well as advice on philanthropy, family businesses, succession planning and commercial banking services to corporate clients.  Headquartered in London, Coutts is part of NatWest’s wealth businesses.
