Make Money Online With Google

There is a funny irony to Googling “work from home jobs” when you could be making money online, from home, with Google.

The most obvious solution to building your business, providing your family with supplemental income, or simply having some fun disposable income lying around is often right under your nose – or, in this case, right within your browser history.

Making money online with Google isn’t difficult, but, like anything else having to do with making legitimate money – especially on the internet – it does take a bit of finesse and strategic thinking to really make the most out of this remote job.

That’s nothing Real Ways to Earn Money Online readers, business owners, and work-from-home mavericks and mavens can’t handle, though!

Read on to find out more on how you can Larry Page your way into making the big bucks.

6 Ways to Make Money Online With Google

1 – Search Engine Evaluation Jobs

Primarily working in the mobile device realm, a search engine evaluator does exactly what their job title insinuates: they evaluate websites, webpages, and occasionally ads, to ensure that the results you get in search are as relevant and helpful as possible in relation to your queries.

When a website and/or webpage is written, we all know that it is important to use best SEO (Search Engine Optimization) practices – and that is something you don’t have to be a pro to know how to do!

It really all comes down to utilizing the best keywords in your field, and a simple Google search (ha) can showcase the best search terms for, say, a beauty brand.

These are the terms you would want to include on your website, and it’s something that a search engine evaluator would know using their own methods and web-based tools.

After a search engine evaluator evaluates, sometimes they will also rate the webpage or website according to Google or Microsoft-set guidelines.

In addition to the previously mentioned research, a search engine evaluator plays songs, YouTube videos, reads PDFs, watches movies, downloads apps, etc., all in an effort to best evaluate a website, webpage, or ad.

If this sounds like the remote job for you, then check out any the following companies:

These companies have rates that typically fall around $12/hour and sometimes more, though search engine evaluators are notoriously tight-lipped about rates, so it is difficult to get a good metric on pay.

However, there are other jobs that could be of interest to work-from-home gurus, like transcriptionist jobs, which also typically do not require you to be on the phone (an obvious perk for all those stay-at-home moms and dads!).

You can also now get paid for AI Training (something the big search engines are trying to embrace with their AI models), and they need people to help with that right now.

Some companies that have been needing AI trainers include:

So, if you’re an internet pro, able to navigate various forms of content, and have a lot of knowledge in different areas and industries, then becoming a remote search engine evaluator may just be the perfect gig for you!

2 – Adsense

You have probably heard the term “Adsense” thrown around at this point – but even if you have a general knowledge of what it means – or what it could mean for your business – if pressed, could you define it?

Fear not, because we’ve done the legwork for you!

Adsense is Google’s cost-per-click (CPC) advertising campaign that lets anyone who has the desire to run ads on their website do so.

One of its best features is that it’s free, so it allows any publisher – large or small – to utilize it. Of course, you have to be in the Google Network of content sites to use it, but it definitely helps both small and large business monetize website content, like blog posts.

Basically, you’re displaying Google ads – and making money doing so (but then again, so is Google).

Keep in mind that you are not eligible if you use WordPress.com as your blogging platform (different than wordpress.org), but you can use WordAds if you have your own customized domain.

If you decide to run Adsense on YouTube, you will also have to set up an Adsense account (you know those ads that play before YouTube videos, or ones that pop up at the bottom of the screen?

There you go – you’ve had your first Adsense-on-YouTube lesson!) and set your monetization preference. However, to be approved, your account will need 4,000 hours of view time in the last year as well as 1,000 subscribers.

Whatever you use, remember that this is not a get-rich-quick scheme. It can take some website owners months to earn a couple bucks; however, some business owners make their living off of ads alone.

It depends on what product and/or services you’re selling, the length of time you’ve been using ads, etc.

Don’t get discouraged! Be patient, and it will pay off.

3 – Google Opinion Rewards

When is the last time you got paid for having an opinion? It probably wasn’t during a political Facebook fight with your Aunt Agatha. Luckily for you, Google actually wants to listen to your opinion – and pay you nicely for it, with Google Opinion Rewards.

This app, available at the Google Play Store, allows you to answer survey questions during your downtime. It’ll send you a notification when a brief survey is awaiting your input, and once completed, you’ll receive Google Play credit.

You can earn up to $1 for each survey you partake in, and survey topics range from your favorite kind of dog to hotel and product reviews.

After you have enough credit, you can use your Google bucks to buy movies, games, music, apps, and other items available in the Google Play store.

So while this isn’t a super lucrative way to make money with Google, it would still come in handy for some “fun money” here and there.

4 – Selling Books On Google Play

And no, we’re not talking about that dusty library of paperbacks you keep tucked away in a corner of your house. We mean selling your own books, or ebooks, via Google.

Publishers/authors join the Google Books Partner Program, make an account, provide the book files, and bam – you’re on your way to becoming a bestselling Google author!

It is, of course, a tad more involved than that, but you can get started selling your books on Google here. They are not currently accepting sign-ups, but you can keep tabs on the page in case they open it back up.

5 – Selling Apps On Google Play

If you see yourself as the next tycoon of Silicon Valley, then you need to get your app on Google Play! The first step to doing so is to create a Google Wallet Merchant Account here.

Sign in, open your Financial Reports, and click Setup a Merchant Account Now.

After you’re set up, you should be ready to monetize your app! Publish it as a paid app, and identify the amount you’d like for each download – for example, $1.99.

You can also include Google Ads into your app so that each time it’s clicked, you’ll earn a small amount. Once it’s popular, you’ll get a lot more out of Google Ads!

6 – Remote Career Work

It is possible to work from home in a mid-level or above position for Google – try searching their jobs page for remote work in any area, and see what you come up with.

A work-from-home career with Google seems to often go to engineers or developers, but it’s certainly within the realm of possibility to find an Operations or administrative position.

The company definitely seems open to freelancers, being that it is a tech company, but bear in mind that scammers will often try and use Google remote work as a prime opportunity to steal your credit card info.

Never pay anyone to apply for a job, even if it seems like a small amount!

The best way to view any remote opportunities at Google is to again, apply on their main job board.

If you’re a part of a recruitment firm, do not have your recruiter send in your resume – Google doesn’t like that.

Do it yourself, figure out who their HR person is, and follow-up! The worst that will happen is that they’ll say no – follow-ups are always key in the job-getting world, whether you’re remote or in-house. Be focused and be brave.

Whether your focus is on a career with Google, freelance work, making money off of ads, or becoming a search detective, Google has nearly any tool you could dream of to keep in your remote-job-getting-toolbox – even if it’s simply typing into the search bar, “work from home jobs”!

The company is frequently portrayed positively in the news, and often wins Best Place to Work accolades – in fact, it has been ranked as #1 on 100 Best Companies to Work For in Fortune magazine for the sixth year in a row.
